Are you Bipolar? Want advice?

Well I am not a doctor or shrink... I'm just a 24 year old who's life was ruined by the label of bipolar and pills.

When I was younger i had many issues with my anger and  what they call manic and depressive stages... but then again all human get depressed and get manic... so why is the rest of the world not labeled Bipolar? That is a good question... I use to blame my parents... I use to tell myself that they where the enemies... that they wanted me on medication so that i was zombie like... well that is not true... they where not sure how to handle a young girl who had issues so they did what they thought was right...

But I am here to tell you that I am not on any pills any more... that I live a day to day life with no medications, doctors, and shrinks. I am proof that you can manage Bipolar without all the harm of drugs and harassing Doctors. But you will have to take vitamins and eat better foods then just junk food.

If you want a life with no Doctors telling you that you are crazy and bipolar and nuts and whatever else they tell you then take your life in to your hand and stop. Look at yourself in the mirror and say "I am worth getting better, I am worth more then people give me credit for, I will show them that I can do it without medications or Doctors" Then take your vitamin B12 and or 6, vitamin C, and any other vitamins that you think can help get you healthy... that is all the vitamins are for... your health... you need a healthy body in order to do this without drugs and doctors...

If you would like to talk personally with me you can always leave a comment and I will get back to you.

THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR ALL PEOPLE. SO DON'T HOLD IT AGAINST ME IF YOU CAN'T DO IT ON YOUR OWN... but know that i am here and i am willing to be a ear to listen a mouth to give advice or just someone to yell at... feel free to say what you like... you may or may not get a response depending on your attitude on your comment

  1. Looks like your blog has the potential to be a good "support group" for others struggling with a bi-polar diagnosis. Are you posting your blog link on facebook, and on bi-polar message boards, support sites? I commend your work to stay off medication and to "deal with" your situation. Don't fall in the trap, though, of feeling that if you ever DO need medication, you've failed. You have not! People have to take medicine on a temporary basis for lots of different conditions/illnesses, and are able to go back off the medicine. Lots of things can alter brain chemistry-for better AND worse--(stress, grief, exercise, etc.), and you may find a need for some temporary pharmaceutical "help." After helping a bi-polar friend with medical/legal issues for about 40 years, I know that when you're feeling "good" you think you don't need medication; but if you're really depressed, sometimes you REALLY do need medical intervention. It is not always a matter of determination and willing yourself to stay off medication....Congratulations on your blog, and for wanting to help others as you help yourself!
